Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born 16 March, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. The comedian appeared alongside Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea began her stand-up show in the year 2011, following appearances as a guest on a variety of Irish TV shows as well as British series from the year 2009. Bea began performing frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms later in the year. After winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for different panel shows, where she is now a regular. In 2016 through 2017, she served as the team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant on the sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan and his wife, she was blessed with one sister called Sinead. She was the only female to win So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea Her maiden name, which is her birth name, pays tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh'Sullivan' was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian took his life at the age of three. He was a horse veterinarian. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed before she reached the age of 13. She adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father and wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea, along with her older sister Sinead was raised in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney), a former jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Her family were fascinated by horses and race meetings. When she was a child, Bea was an assistant tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early age that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a job, and loved performing.
